Staying at Daytona Beach Inns? Don’t Forget These 5 Essential Items

It's nearly time to pack your belongings and travel to Daytona Beach for a well-deserved vacation. But first, you must figure out what should go on your packing list!

This list has everything you'll need for a sun-drenched holiday in Florida to ensure you don't forget the essentials. Get a pen and paper ready because it's almost time for take-off!

Essentials for Staying at Daytona Beach Vacation Rentals

It can be hard to remember everything you need for your vacation. Before you hit the road to stay at our gorgeous Daytona Beach vacation rentals, make sure to pack these essential items!

1. Toiletries

No trip should happen without toiletries. This truth can vary from one person to another, but it’s always a good idea to pack your toothbrush, toothpaste, skin products, and hair tools. Don’t forget daily prescriptions or supplements that are critical to your health.

Many beach inns and hotels provide shampoo and conditioner, but you may want to bring your own with you. Some travelers prefer their own bath towels and even pack their own pillows.

Whatever you feel like you need for your stay, bring it! It’s also important to keep in mind when flying to Daytona Beach to back travel-sized items.

2. A Variety of Clothing

Florida is known for its warm temperatures, so make sure you bring clothes to keep you cool. It's a smart idea to pack clothing for all hours of the day. Don't forget a bathing suit if you plan on hitting the water!

Also, pack light-weight clothing, such as linen or loose-fitting clothing. These light fabrics and styles dry rapidly, making them ideal for Florida summers.

Remember, it can get quite cold at night during the winter months, so bring some warm clothing, such as a sweater or jacket just in case.

3. Sunscreen

If you're planning to be outside in the sun (and we assume you are), sunscreen is 100% necessary. Cover exposed skin with a sunblock that has an SPF of at least 40 to keep your skin healthy. Getting a water-resistant sunblock is even better! Remember to protect your lips from the sun since they can easily get chapped. Sunscreen is essential in Florida! You don’t want to ruin your vacation with a bad sunburn.

4. Sunglasses and Hats

For further sun protection, a large hat is also a smart option. This can help shield you from the sun's damaging rays, which can cause skin damage if exposed to them for too long.

Sunglasses are another excellent approach to shield your eyes from UV rays during overcast days or around night. These items can also be great accessories for any outfit!

5. Snacks

Whether you’re driving or flying, it’s always a good idea to have plenty of snacks. Even when the beach inn you’re staying at has dining services, you never know when you might get a specific craving or need something to hold you over until mealtime.

Nibbling on foods strong in protein and iron will help you stay energized. This tip is also vital if you’re traveling with someone with specific dietary needs, such as gluten-free or vegan choices.

Packing these items are essential when travelling to this sunny destination. Get ready for sun, sand, and gorgeous views!  With these items packed, you’re all set to head off on a fun vacation in Daytona Beach at Ms. Maggie’s South Country Inn!
